BioMed Central moves to full participation

Peerage of Science
03 Sep 2013

BioMed Central, a leading open access publisher, today moves to Full Access participation in Peerage of Science. This means their journals can now access any peer review process in the service, and are able to send direct publishing offers to authors. Four journals published by BMC have already been welcoming links in traditional submissions since 2012, and all four now join in with the publisher's launch of full participation: Frontiers in Zoology, BMC Ecology, BMC Evolutionary Biology and BMC Biology.

Peerage of Science is excited to welcome BMC as fully participating publisher. This significantly increases the publishing opportunities available for authors submitting their articles to the service. In particular, with BMC Biology, Peerage of Science now has, for the first time, a highly selective general biology journal among those that may consider making direct publishing offer, in addition to the several more specialized journals.

You can read BMC's announcement here, and an associated interview with one of the founders of Peerage of Science in their online magazine Biome.
