Winner of ALPSP Award for Publishing Innovation

Peerage of Science
14 Sep 2012

The Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP) gave the 2012 Award for Publishing Innovation to Peerage of Science! Two other new online solutions were finalists for the award, ACP Journalwise from the American College of Physicians (ACP), and Plantwise Knowledge Bank from Centre for Agricultural Bioscience International (CABI). Both ACP and CABI are much larger and more established organizations than Peerage of Science, so we are extremely honoured to be in such company and proud to be recognized by the ALPSP.

Winners in previous years have been your Better Life Index from the OECD (2011), ChemSpider from Royal Society of Chemistry (2010), and PLoS ONE from PLoS (2009).

Peerage of Science exists and grows only through participation by scientists, so congratulations to all 996 of you who have joined and made this possible: Peerage of Science is you, so you just won an award. Come by our office to have a look at your trophy, or if you can't, here's a photo:

Peerage of Science was represented at the award dinner by Janne Kotiaho and Janne Seppänen. Waiting for the award announcement through the dinner was tense to say the least. But here are two very happy peers, much later in the evening:

Happy Peers after award

Thank you peers, and thank you ALPSP.
